Now that Spring has arrived in the Central Valley, it’s time to start thinking about Birdhouses! Habitat for Humanity’s Annual Birdhouse Auction is taking on a slightly different look this year but still has all the creativity and inspiration of past live events. In partnership with Brendan J. Farrell Mortgage Consultant/American Pacific Mortgage, the Birdhouse Auction is going virtual. This year’s event will feature a week-long , online-auction with donated items and baskets from local businesses, individuals and artisans. Featured items include a $600 perfume basket donated by Macy’s, a custom-made bar featuring a “live edge” redwood top by David Ochoa, a wine and chocolate basket donated by Grocery Outlet and much more. On the evening of May 14th, Tulare County Supervisor Amy Shuklian will host the Live/Virtual event and live auction. Local artists have created amazing birdhouses that will be available for bid along with three custom-painted, works-of-art from speed painter Rick Alonzo. Proceeds from the Birdhouse Auction will help Habitat fulfill our mission of building homes, communities and hope.
