The Leadership Kings program helps develop individuals who want to become knowledgeable about the Kings County and are concerned about its well-being.  The program is a unique opportunity for participants to increase their understanding of the complex social and economic issues. Participants are exposed to the challenges facing Kings County and how they, as individuals, may respond to community concerns. Individuals selected to participate in Leadership Kings will explore new ways of interacting with the community.  It means purposely seeking awider span of awareness.  Participants are challenged to learn about and experience leadership by:
  • Examining leadership styles
  • Evaluating issues and exploring solutions
  • Challenging viewpoints
  • Stimulating thought
  • Understanding the process of concensus
  • Taking action in the community
LEADERSHIP KINGS

The Leadership Kings program:

  • Broadens an individual’s perspective and community awareness.
  • Enhances an individual’s potential in their job or profession.
  • Creates a network of people with similar goals and commitments.
  • Stimulates residents to take an active role in their community.
